Funding Support to Improve Lives
Going through treatment for a brain tumour is an incredibly stressful situation, which is why it’s important to know you’re not alone. Working alongside The Brain Tumour Charity, we help fund The Children and Families Service who offer support to children, young people and families affected by a brain tumour diagnosis. They’re there to help with any information you might need, answer your questions, listen and provide support. We can help you develop ways to cope, take control and connect with others who are going through similar experiences.
The dedicated Children and Families Service aims to reduce isolation and anxiety for children and their families. If you need support please email childrenandfamilies@thebraintumourcharity.org or call 0808 800 0004 and ask for the Children and Families Team.
Family Days are back!
In 2023, we connected over 330 people who have been affected by a brain tumour diagnosis through our Family Days and Young Adults events. Since 2019 we have visited Hobbledown Farm, Marwell Zoo, Bristol Aquarium and Tamworth Snowdome for our Christmas event
In December, Santa took time out of his busy schedule to visit us at Tamworth Snow Dome! An incredible day was had by all and it was so wonderful being able to bring so many families together at Tamworth and have a day where families could ‘switch off’ and as many families said have ‘a break from normal life with no stress or worries’ The families had a great time and left feeling festive!

Family Days
Working with The Brain Tumour Charity The Lewis Moody Foundation funds a series of Family Days across the UK. These give families affected by a brain tumour the chance to spend time together away from hospital, meet other families and enjoy a day out without having to worry about finances.
Family Days provide a fun, relaxing, and supportive experience. They also offer an opportunity for parents and children to meet others experiencing similar difficulties and share their stories.
We hold Family Days for families who have either a child or parent living with a brain tumour. Our events are aimed at families with children under 18 years.
All the activities involved in a Family Day are free. Lunch, drinks and snacks are provided throughout the day.

Willows Activity Farm Family Day
28th September 2024
Our Willows Activity Farm Family Day is an interactive, fun and immersive experience for families with a child under 18, affected by a brain tumour, where you can meet others who understand, no explanations needed.
Join us at this fantastic venue and get ready to enjoy the vast variety of activities this attraction has to offer! Start the day off with a hot drink and pastry in our private event space, where you will meet Charity staff and other families attending. We will then get the opportunity to feed some farm animals, watch a short show on the outdoor stage and even watch some goat racing! Meet us back in the private room for a quick bite to eat, before heading back out to explore even more! From riding on Tristan the Runaway Tractor, playing on some amazing adventure playgrounds, taking a trip to the crazy golf, there will be plenty for everyone to get involved in!
