Twilight Own Walks 2025

What better way to mark Brain Tumour Awareness Month – and raise much-needed funds and awareness of brain tumours – than by taking on The Twilight Walk your way in March 2025?

Organise your own Twilight Walk

Unite with loved ones and take on your own walk somewhere special to you. You can stride out any time during March 2025, and however many times, to make up the distance to your chosen goal.

Check out this video to learn more about The Twilight Own Walks!

You can:

Pick your own distance

  • Take on our traditional 5km or 10km
  • Challenge yourself to walk 40km, symbolising our shared goal of defeating the leading cause of cancer death in the under 40s
  • Go all out with 130km – one km for each of the 130 types of brain tumour that affect the community.

Frequently asked questions

The Twilight Walk is for everyone, of all ages and abilities. By holding your own walk, you can choose the distance and route that best suits you and your needs.

We ask that you try to raise a minimum sponsorship of £100 per person. However, if you’re not able to raise the full £100 we’d still love you to take part in the walk.

What’s more, if you raise at least £100, we’ll send you your very own commemorative Twilight Walk medal! The first 50 sign ups who also set up a Just Giving page and receive a donation will also receive a Twilight Walk Pin Badge.

Our top 50 fundraisers will also receive a special MyPicture photo book voucher. Our top three fundraisers will also receive a unique gold medal.

For Twilight Own Walks, we only require the organiser of the walk to sign up (not all participants). We will then send the organiser information on how to let us know how many people are walking with you (if you are in a group) and how to order t-shirts for them as well if these are needed.

If you are the main contact and have opted to have a t-shirt when signing up to The Twilight Own Walk, this will be sent to you in the post. Extra T-shirts can be ordered any time before your walk, but please make sure you let us know at least 2 weeks prior to ensure they arrive with you in time. T-shirts can only be ordered by the organiser of the walk.

To order extra T- shirts information can be found within the walk organisers welcome email when signing up. If you have taken part in a previous Twilight Walk and already have a t-shirt please reuse where you can. Our t- shirt sizes range from XS to XXXL and we also supply children’s sizes between the ages of 3- 11.

If you are taking part in the Own Walk Twilight Walk, those that raise more than £100 will also receive a medal in the post.

For the top 3 fundraisers you will receive one of our unique gold medals

“When my dad was living with a brain tumour, he organised charity walks for the Brain Tumour Charity to raise funds and awareness. Organising a local Twilight Walk, therefore, felt like a fitting way to fundraise in his memory. It was really special to see everyone coming together for the walk, especially those who had previously walked alongside my dad, and helped in his fundraising efforts.”
