Oli’s story
Oli was full of fun, full of life and had the biggest, kindest heart.
In November 2004, just before her 7th birthday, she was diagnosed with medulloblastoma and so began her long journey to recovery.
After initial surgery, Oli began an 18 month course of radiotherapy and chemotherapy, which resulted in a clear diagnosis and the start of normal life once again. Her days were filled with family, friends, swimming, horse riding and her pet rabbit Charlie!
Sadly, at the end of 2007, a scan revealed that the cancer was back, and she lost her fight on 27th April 2008, aged just 10.
Research into this horrible disease is under funded and progress can be slow.
“By raising funds for The Brain Tumour Charity, we hope to give children a better chance of beating this disease in the future.”
