Martin’s story

Martin was just 39 when he lost his fight to Glioblastoma, a rare and aggressive form of brain tumour.

Throughout his treatment he and his family never gave up hope and he fought tirelessly to the end. Martin was a devoted and much loved husband to Emma, son of Michael and Audrey, brother to Nicola and Suzie, aswel as being an uncle, friend, work colleague and chairman to so many! Martin was funny and hardworking, always the life and soul of everything. His family and friends are planning many events to honour his memory and raise as much money as possible, including a 40th birthday party, triathlons, half marathons, and colour run 5k races!

“Martin – we will never forget you and hope you can have a few laughs watching our sporting endeavors!”

We know that we should all aspire to to have some of his fight and spirit and do all we can to raise awareness and funds for this charity that was so close to his heart.

As everyone who knew Mart knows, he was a great believer in giving back and was always involved in community and charity efforts. So he would love to have seen fundraising done to further research into the awful condition he had.

With love always, your wife Emma, your family and your friends.
