From circus workshops to stilt walkers, face painters and Rock Choir – this year’s Twilight Walk is going to be one to remember!

When you arrive, head to the registration desks and get checked in by our wonderful volunteers.

Then, in the beautiful St Mary’s Church, you’ll find all our fascinating stands and workshops – like Meet the Research Team, where you’ll gain valuable insights into the research your funds are supporting. Or head downstairs to get stuck into arts and crafts, and even a circus workshop! Make sure you try out our new photo booth to capture those special moments with your family and friends!

We know it can be an emotional day, so members of our friendly and supportive team will be on hand to answer questions, introduce you to others, or simply chat and provide a listening ear.

Need to get your hands on some more The Brain Tumour Charity merchandise? We’ll be selling our branded items at the start venue if you fancy grabbing yourself a beanie or hoodie.

If you’re feeling peckish before you start or fancy a well-deserved bite after the walk, there’ll be food available outside St Mary’s Church from The Yorkie Wrap Co and Siena Pizza Co.

What better way to end your walk and celebrate everyone’s achievement than by crossing the finish line, where you’ll be handed your Twilight Walk 2025 medal to the sound of Rock Choir!

Frequently asked questions

Yes! The Twilight Walk is for people of all ages and abilities. However, children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

The route is suitable for wheelchair users, however please contact us prior to the event to notify us that you’re taking part in a wheelchair.

The 3km, 5km and 10km routes will have the same start and finish location.

The 3km walkers will set off first. Once they arrive back the 1st wave of 10km walkers will begin, soon followed by the 2nd wave of 10km and 5km walkers.

There’ll be a front walker for the 3km, 5km and 10km distances, plus a middle walker and a back walker, to help everyone follow the correct route – but it will also be signposted and have supporting marshals.

If you are walking in a mixed distance group for the 4pm registration, we recommend that you all start together in the 5km group and then, at approx. 2.5km, the 5km group will loop back towards the finish line and the 10km group will continue on, before looping back through St James’s Park on the return route. Please note, the 3km route does not go through the same parks as the 5km and 10km routes, therefore you will not be able to walk with other distance walkers.

The return route for 10km and 5km groups is along the same route through Hyde Park.

Yes, of course! If you’d like to meet and walk with others, there’ll be a meeting point arranged where you can meet others before the walk starts.

If you wish to bring your furry family members in 2025, register for the 4pm start time (5km or 10km). Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times. Please note that only service dogs are permitted inside the venue.

A relaxed thoughtful occasion shared with friends and like-minded strangers, filled with the uplift of stories shared and nature observed, a Twilight Walk is, like twilight itself, is a bookend, punctuation, a moment for peaceful reflection in our busy lives which offers the possibility of a special sunrise offering new hope.
