Here at The Brain Tumour Charity, we’re committed to making sure that everyone affected by a brain tumour gets the support, information, and care they need. But we know that not everyone in our community feels heard or gets the help that could make a difference.
That’s why we’re launching The Listening Project, a project designed to reach those whose needs are often overlooked. By hearing directly from people in our community, we’ll be able to shape our services, so they work better for those who need them most.
What is the Listening Project?
We’re reviewing our support services and exploring how we can do more – reaching more people in more impactful ways. This project is about listening, understanding real experiences, and making sure that support is shaped by those who know best.
We want to hear from everyone in our community – whether you’re living with a brain tumour, caring for someone with a brain tumour, or have lost a loved one to a brain tumour. Whether you’ve used our services before or have never reached out to us, your voice matters.
We’re especially keen to hear from those we don’t often connect with, including:
- Carers of someone with a high-grade brain tumour
- People from minoritised ethnic backgrounds
- People from low-income households
If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear your thoughts.
How can I get involved in the Listening Project?
We’re holding 1:1 interviews and small group discussions during April and May to hear about people’s experiences and what support would make the biggest difference.
- What’s involved? A relaxed, 1-hour conversation with a member of our team.
- As a thank you, we’re offering a £25 Amazon voucher for those who take part.
We will have a limit on the number of interviews we can carry out, so if you don’t hear from us to participate in an interview, do keep an eye out for the surveys.
How can you sign up?
If you’re interested in taking part, please share your information with us using the link below. This Expression of Interest Form will help us understand who’s interested and make sure we’re hearing from a wide range of voices.
The form will be open until 9th May, but we may need to close it earlier if we receive a high level of interest—so if you’d like to take part, we encourage you to sign up soon!
Please note: This project is currently only open to people living in the UK.
You can read more about how we handle your data in our Privacy Policy.
Why your voice matters
Brain tumours bring enormous challenges, but together, we can drive change. The insight from this project will directly influence how we design and improve support services, making sure they truly meet the needs of our community.
Your experience matters. Your voice can shape the future.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. We’d love to hear from you. Let’s make support better, together.
