The Charity will be releasing five new designs from a bold superhero-esque style through to a more subtle logo print. They will be added alongside the ‘Great Minds’ collection, released in August 2020, on the Teemill platform.
The new collection has launched today and is available now to purchase with 50% of the profits of each sale being donated to The Brain Tumour Charity.
The money raised from sales of the clothing line will be spent on funding The Charity’s vital work in research, on driving awareness and to provide support to those who need it most.
The ‘A Cure Can’t Wait’ collection celebrates all the superheroes of the brain tumour community who are powering progress and giving hope to everyone affected by a brain tumour – even though they may be impacted themselves. These are the incredible supporters, fundraisers, clinicians and scientists, all working hard to find a cure together.
The theme was chosen too as a response to the delays in research into brain tumours and the slowing of progress against the number one cancer killer of children and adults under 40 during the pandemic.
Now is the time to pick up the pace of research and power forward change because when you or a loved one are diagnosed, a cure really can’t wait.
The designs for this unique collection have been developed pro bono by designer Donna McCann who kindly donated her time and skills to the project.
David Jenkinson, Chief Scientific Officer and Interim CEO of The Brain Tumour Charity, said:
“We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with Teemill to launch our new ‘A Cure Can’t Wait’ collection. The Brain Tumour Charity’s slogan ‘A Cure Can’t Wait’ started out life as the theme of our 2015 – 2020 research strategy and has been used by the community ever since. It has never been more pertinent than it is now as we look to pick up the pace of research and drive forward progress in our fight to defeat brain tumours.
“Unfortunately, brain tumours are still the number one cancer killer of children and adults under 40. However, powered by the unrelenting passion, dedication and experience of the incredible community of supporters, clinicians, fundraisers and researchers we know that one day we’ll see a world where brain tumours are defeated.”
