As we push on into spring, we’re reflecting on all that was achieved during Brain Tumour Awareness Month thanks to the support of our incredible partners.
We’re ecstatic to say that we’re well on our way to smashing our target of £150,000 through Big Bandana Bakes and 18 of our partners took part including Audit Scotland, SEC Recruitment and multiple branches from Barclays, Natwest, Edinburgh Woollen Mill and Blue Apple.
As well as fundraising, our partners gave their time to volunteer at bucket collections, pack and send Big Bandana Bake packs, raise awareness on social media and their websites and hand out HeadSmart cards to customers and clients.
During March, the partnerships team visited Carbon Clear, CDM London, Ipreo and SCOR to talk about The Charity, the projects we support and how, with the help of our partners, we can reach our ultimate goal of defeating brain tumours. We also attended the BMS Group dinner where the team raised vital donations and celebrated the incredible feat achieved by the BMS team who took part in Everest in the Alps 2018.
The final event for March was a collaboration with Psycle London to create a unique event, ‘Unite on a Bike.’ We brought together our community in two hours of exercise, led by Rod Buchanan, who is living with a brain tumour himself. We were thrilled to be joined by our high profile supporter Ella Mills, Josh Patterson and Resolute.
We have been overwhelmed by the generosity, enthusiasm and support of each partner who have gone above and beyond to support us. Thank you to everyone for making Brain Tumour Awareness Month such a success.
