Privacy Statement
Thank you for your interest in participating in our group discussions on research that will guide the awarding of a grant by The Brain Tumour Charity. We are committed to protecting your privacy and the information you provide in this RSVP form will be used solely for administrative purposes.
Of note, during these meetings, any ideas, opinions and feedback you share will be used to help ensure that the funding process is conducted effectively. With your consent, we may record audio, video or written transcripts of the discussions to assist in shaping research priorities and criteria for awarding the grant.
Access to your information will be restricted to authorised personnel within our Charity who require it to perform their duties. In some cases, your information may be shared in a de-identified format with external peer reviewers, including those outside the UK. While this information could potentially be linked back to you, that is not its intended purpose and all external parties who receive your information are required to maintain its security and confidentiality in compliance with UK data protection laws. We have implemented appropriate safeguards to ensure the secure transfer of data, especially when it is shared outside the UK.
Your personal information will be retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or as required by law. Any recordings or notes from the focus group will be securely stored and will be de-identified or deleted once the analysis is complete.
You have the right to access the personal information you have provided and to request corrections if there are any inaccuracies. You may also request the deletion of your personal information or withdraw your consent for its use at any time, though this may result in your withdrawal from the focus group.
