Thank you for helping us create unforgettable Christmas memories for families affected by a brain tumour diagnosis.

Events like our Christmas Family Snow Globe Day are worth so much to our families in crisis.

Billy Thompson

Christmas means so much to children like Billy. Billy died from a Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) just before his 5th Birthday – just three months after his last family Christmas in 2023.

Billy wanted to grow up to be a rock star, fireman or a teacher.

Billy had big dreams and loved celebrations so his family made sure his last Christmas was unforgettable and brought his 5th birthday party forward because he loved parties and cake.

The Brain Tumour Charity’s family days are for families affected by a brain tumour diagnosis with a child or children under the age of 18, whether it is the child – like Billy – or the child’s adult carer, who has been diagnosed.

These incredible days give families the opportunity for a fun day out, away from scans and hospital appointments.

Our Christmas family day in 2024 at a UK SnowDome Centre*, for example, includes :

  • Snow!
  • Sledging!
  • And a chance to meet Santa’s reindeer!

Families also watch a Christmas show and meet Santa too! Lunch is included along with craft activities and games.

Each family receives a photo keepsake to take home and our friendly Support Team are on hand throughout to ensure our families have the best experience possible.

Christmas Family Day

What your donation could do

Family snow day lit up

Your donation could help in so many ways, for example:

  • £10 may go towards a keepsake photo for the families to remember their special day.
  • Donations of £15 could help us provide a little gift from Santa for the child of the family.
  • Every £50 could fund the printing of 1,000 information cards that we give to newly diagnosed patients to manage the trauma of a diagnosis.
  • And £100 could fund the cost of 10 DNA preservation tubes for use on one of our clinical trials to find a cure for this dreadful disease.

  • Every donation received, regardless of the amount, has a massive impact for our families affected by a brain tumour diagnosis and your gift will help in so many ways.

Your kindness makes it possible for us to focus where help is needed most.

And thanks to you, we’re able to help more children and families by providing support, raising awareness and researching into treatments and cures.

And from everyone at

The Brain Tumour Charity,

Thank you Wickes!

We really appreciate your help to support our vital work this Christmas.
